Residing in the heart of the future IT hub of kolkata, Techno India College of Technology exemplifies pride, honour and success at its acme. The journey of success began in the year 2005.In this short span of three years it has blotted the IT field by producing a bevy of fine young engineers to dwell in the colossal multi nationals. Amongst all the excellent engineering streams harbored in this institution, one department that surfaces and re-surfaces above all others is the department of Master of Computer Application.

In today’s hi tech regime, magic of success lures all and sundry. This very thought process has been the laying stone of this department which trains the creams of academic proficiency and moulds them into excellent IT professionals.

Started in the year 2006, the department has been able controlled and guided by Mr.Subhodip Mukherjee, the head of the department. To be fair to his traits one concise comment that would suitably quote his attitude would be “laughter is the best medicine, they say”. A hearty smile, a helpful hand and loads of talent and experience has been the arsenal of this man who is rightly idolized by many aspiring to be good human beings and excellent corporate professionals.Alonside the well equipped faculty panel goes a long way in guiding the students through all impediments.

In the last couple of years the department has been home to around 120 master degree aspirants. The intake capacity of the department is 60 students for MCA and 30 students for BCA. The department resides in the third floor of the colossal building of Techno India College of Technology. Needless to say the amenities and facilities provided to the students are inexplicable and run parallel to the best institutes of West Bengal. It takes pride in providing the best laboratory facilities, much ahead and advanced than any other college under the Techno Group banner for a long time now. The atmosphere and environment being such it would encourage one to be attentive and do justice to the fact of being associated with such a department. The class rooms are excellent with more than adequate capacity of abording its students, the library facilities and availabilities speaks volume of support throughout the calendar.

The year 2008 saw the first batch of the department eligible and indulging in campus recruitments. the loads of success achieved in just over 3 months are outstanding and is reflected by the success, students have already being placed in huge corporate houses as Infosys,Accenture,Satyam and TCS,which in itself is an achievement to be proud of. but this is just the beginning of an era, because with time Master of Computer Application department,TICT will prove its worth and stamp its authority in the IT market so that to decades to come this department will stand out tall but silent and let its history speak for itself.
