The department of Electronics & Instrumentation Engineering has been playing a vital role in producing industry level technologists & scientist of highest caliber to cater to the ever challenging needs of technical excellence in all areas of Electronic Engineering such as Integrated electronics and circuits, Tele-communications, Computer Networking, Control & Automation, Power systems & Power electronics ever since it was established in the year of 2005. The infrastructure and lab facilities are upgraded from time to time and provide adequate opportunities for students to learn and innovate. The department has distinguished faculty, all holding M.Tech degrees from renowned institutes of India.The faculty of the department has been constantly carrying out research on many cutting edge technologies and regularly publishes in renowned journals and other top international journals. The department also trying to undertake many research projects sponsored by both the government and the industry.
The Department of Electronics & Instrumentation Engineering of TICT was established in 2006 and has an annual intake of 60 students. TICT is a committed to academic excellence having graduate program running in diverse areas of various Engineering Departments. The TICT Engineering education at the Undergraduate level with the starting of B. Tech program from the session followed by WBUT.
The faculties are well qualified to accept the new Challenges in the Electronics and Instrumentation field. The labs working under the aegis of this department are the Basic Electronics Lab, Digital Electronic Lab, Linear Integrated Circuits Lab, Sensor & Transducer Lab and Industrial Instrumentation Lab. The installation processes of two new Laboratories (Process control Lab and Telemetry & Remote control Lab) are going on. The equipments within the lab are state of the art and are in synchronies with industry needs. The Faculty and the Stuff member of the Department also give dedicated to the support and encourage to the student for there self developed circuit, and give them the possible lab instrument for there design.
